Search Engine Optimization Variables

Whenever we are viewing a particular Main Category, Category, Manufacturer or Product we will have 4 variables available to us for search engine optimization. These are the Title tag, the meta description and keywords tags and the displayed description. These are entered in Admin under each Main Category, Category, Manufacturer and Product. 1. ses_title - This is the page Title of the current page you are viewing. This tag is perhaps the most important of all. We include this in the ezcartheaders.cfm file which will be included in the "cartpage" template.
2. ses_metadescription - The meta description. This should give a quick/concise synopsis of what this page is about. This is also included in ezcartheaders.cfm. We also allow you to make this visible on the Product Maps if you wish.
3. ses_metakeywords - The meta keywords. Many search engines ignore this tag. We leave it out of ezcartheaders.cfm if you leave it blank and don't enter a default.
4. ses_description - This is what you enter in the Displayed Description section of Main Category, Category and Manufacturer admin. When viewing a product, this is the short description if it's not blank, or the long description if it's not blank and the short description is.
