Authorize.net

• Log into cf_ezcart administration or click on Store Setup if you're in.
• Scroll down to Purchasing Setup and click the Edit Purchasing Setup link.
• Select Authorize.net v 3.1 (w/eCheck if you're accepting electronic check payments.) and the cards you accept, along with other payment methods like Personal Check.
• Leave it/put it in Test Mode.
• Click Edit Purchasing Setup.
• Enter your authorize.net API Login ID. Here you can also choose whether to do Auth Only or Sale transactions.
• Click Edit Purchasing Setup.
• Log Out of administration. BE SURE TO LOG OUT!
• Log into your authorize.net account.
• Click on Account > Settings.
• Click on Payment Form under under Transaction Format Settings. Then click on Form Fields. In the Required Column, "UNCHECK" all fields except Billing First Name, Billing Last Name, Billing Address and Billing Zip Code. Click Submit then continue below.
• Click on Settings. Then click on Test Mode under Security Settings. Be sure Test Mode is "OFF". We'll set test mode from within the cart when we need to test.
• You may use either a transaction key or your regular password to submit transactions. We suggest a transaction key because if someone hacks into your site and gets your login name and transaction key, they can't log in to your account. If they get your login name and password they can. If you haven't activated a transaction key and prefer to use one, read below. Otherwise skip to "Open Application.cfm".
• Click on Settings. Click on API Login ID and Transaction Key under Security Settings.
• Enter the answer to your security question, check the Delete Old Transaction Key box and click Submit.
• Copy the new Transaction Key. Don't write it down, copy and paste it into Application.cfm to assure it's correct.
• Open Application.cfm in an editor. If you are using a Transaction Key, enter it (paste it if you followed the instructions above) into the authnetkey variable. If you are using the password, enter it into the authnetpassword variable.

  Here is a sample if using a Transaction Key. Note that ONE of these variables MUST be blank.
