1) You already have a merchant account and would like to use authorize.net as your gateway: Fill out pages 1 thru 5 of the form. If you do not readily know the information requested on pages 3 and 4, please contact your existing merchant account provider for the information. There is a $149.00 setup fee, a monthly gateway fee of $20.00 and a $0.20 fee per transaction.

2) You require a merchant account and gateway combined: Authorize.net has partnered with several leading financial institutions to provide merchants with a single Integrated Payment System. Complete pages 1 and 2 along with 5 thru 7. There is a $149.00 setup fee, a monthly gateway fee of $20.00 and a $0.20 fee per transaction. While we cannot provide a quote for Visa and MasterCard® discount and/or monthly rates due to the fact that these may vary depending upon the nature of your business, Authorize.net will work to get you approved at favorable rates.

We are also very happy to announce that we now support the Verified By Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™ 3-D Secure Cardholder Authentication Programs in conjunction with Authorize.net and Cardinal Commerce. You may apply for this service directly through your authorize.net console once your account setup is complete. These programs enable Web merchants to provide their customers with maximum transaction security while reducing costly chargeback fees by validating the identity of registered cardholders through the use of a personal identification number (PIN) at checkout. By employing this extra layer of authentication, merchants protect themselves from the costs associated with fraudulent and disputed transactions. Visa even goes so far as to guarantee no chargeback fees on any transaction as long as you attempt to validate the cardholder, even if the cardholder has not registered in the program. The type of chargeback that you are protected against are disputes over whether or not the transaction was placed with the cardholder's knowledge. Once your setup at Cardinal Commerce is complete, just follow the instructions for switching this feature on in cf_ezcart (version 9.6 or higher) or contact us for free assistance.
